Maybe journalism still exists in Zurich. I'm shocked that one football club can be so unlucky and how its fans always disproportionaly end up in violent and criminal situations. So many coincidences with these bums and the political parties that protect them. Is this still a football club or a criminal network with a football branch? Even all the stories about Canepa's cute dogs can't keep the lid on this dodgy network that festers in our city.

Six young men are involved in a kidnapping case in Zurich. The trail of the perpetrators leads to the milieu of the violent FCZ ultras.

A violent act causes unrest in the creative container village in Altstetten.

The kidnappers gather at one of the containers at the base camp in Zurich Altstetten. It's the night of March 11th. In the settlement for artists, designers, and craftsmen on a land reserve of the city, it is quiet.

The perpetrators take advantage of this. For several hours, they detain two men. They want information. Information about an altercation at a gas station in Zurich, where a young FCZ ultra was attacked and injured. The kidnappers are apparently looking for those responsible for the attack. Several well-informed sources tell this to the NZZ.

The perpetrators intimidate their victims, they also do not hesitate to use violence. When the two kidnapped individuals are later found by the alerted police forces, they bear injuries on their bodies.

The prosecutor's office confirms the kidnapping case upon request. Six men from Switzerland, Germany, North Macedonia, and Turkey were arrested on March 11th. The suspects are young men, all between the ages of 18 and 24. They are currently in pretrial detention.

Whether the alleged abduction on the night of March 11th is related to a previous incident is also the subject of ongoing investigations, according to the prosecutor's office. They are now clarifying the backgrounds. Until the investigation is concluded, the presumption of innocence applies.

What is clear in this case so far is that the action was not about football. The victims do not come from that environment. However, the trail of the perpetrators leads into the milieu of the violent FCZ ultras.

Misuse of meeting point for criminal purposes?

What is controversial about the violent act is the location where the two kidnapping victims were held. According to the address mentioned by the prosecutor's office, there are not only studios of creatives but also the premises of FCZ fan social work. And it is precisely there that the crime is said to have occurred, according to well-informed sources.

The project, financed by the city, canton, and the football club, sees itself as a low-threshold support and counseling service for young football fans, especially those in difficult life situations. City politics also play a role - such as Liv Mahrer, the city's SP president, or, until half a year ago, the current FCZ security chief and Green city councilor Luca Maggi.

The project has increasingly reached its limits with its resources. Because in recent years, the FC Zurich fan base has grown significantly - with implications for fan social work. The tasks can only be carried out "with gaps", according to the latest annual report.

The meeting point for young fans has been operated by the association in the base camp for five years. This meeting space is based on the principle of participation. The supporters should participate, have a say, and work.

The question arises: Have individual violent individuals abused the venue for criminal purposes?

There are several indications pointing to the involvement of individuals from the FCZ ultras camp. However, the authorities do not officially confirm this. The prosecutor's office refuses to comment on this with reference to the ongoing investigations.

The matter is also sensitive for the responsible persons of the fan project. Marcel Tappeiner, president of fan social work, says: "We were not present ourselves." At the time of the incident, the fan social work container was closed. No signs of forced entry were found.

"We have not been officially contacted so far. We have only heard rumors that there were police checks in the courtyard," says Tappeiner. "But it is clear to us that we do not tolerate illegal behavior." The board has now appointed a lawyer who has contacted the police to obtain further information.

"The premises were no longer suitable for us"

One thing is certain: the situation around the fan social work venue has escalated in recent months. So much so that the project in Altstetten no longer has a future. At the end of February, the association terminated the venue in the base camp. Since then, an advertisement has been posted on the digital bulletin board of the container settlement, with the head of fan social work looking for a new tenant.

István Scheibler from the base camp office confirms that fan social work has already terminated by the end of February. The project had been implemented in the base camp for almost five years. However, the relationship with some other tenants had become increasingly tense, despite round tables and meetings, says Scheibler: "The different uses could not be reconciled."

A incident in February caused unrest in the container settlement, just days before the association terminated as a tenant of the venue. Police officers searched the premises of fan social work, dismantling sofas and even the heating. The Zurich cantonal police confirm an operation at the address.

Marcel Tappeiner says the police were looking for cannabis and cocaine. "According to our information, however, nothing was found." The rooms are open during the day, and during this time, social work is not continuously supervised. The rooms are closed in the evening.

However, Tappeiner says the termination of the venue had nothing to do with the incidents. "We are giving up the premises because they were no longer suitable for us. It didn't work with the neighbors." For example, the rooms were not soundproofed, which is not easy with young people. "Everything shook when the youngsters ran up and down the stairs."

According to Tappeiner, the project will continue. "We are looking for a suitable and affordable location."

Kidnapping after theft of club flag

Investigators are now trying to determine how the kidnapping case could have occurred. What is behind the violent act? What is the conflict between the groups about? Answers to these questions may also be found in the base camp.

This would not be the first time that militant FC Zurich supporters have been involved in a kidnapping. More than fifteen years ago, violent ultras made headlines for holding a GC fan. It was the climax of a feud that had escalated over the theft of a club flag.

The said flag was seized by GC fans during a break-in at an FC Zurich fan club. To get it back, several FC Zurich ultras paid a visit to a GC fan in the Aarau region. The man was to be coerced into making statements about the flag. The FC Zurich ultras beat him up, blindfolded him, and put him in a car. The perpetrators also took the victim's computer.

Because neighbors had raised the alarm, the kidnapping ended half an hour later. The police called the kidnapped person's mobile phone, upon which the kidnappers released their victim.

Diese PK war sicher besser als zu Zeiten des Haasigen und Haraldigen. Schällibaum mit Wortwitz und schöner Zürischnurre hat interessante Dinge gesagt wie ihm zum Beispiel das Offensivspiel sehr wichtig und er im CH-Fussball "up to day" sei. Schwarz hingegen etwas sehr territorial. Ein guter Chef muss nicht sagen, dass er Chef ist und Entscheidungen trifft/treffen darf.

Mischi wieder mit lustigen Sprüchli (vor allem nach der PK als die Mikros noch liefen) und aufgedunsener Birne in Reihe 1.

Alles in allem eine bessere PK als auch schon, wobei diese immer mehr zu ulkig-bizarren Veranstaltungen verkommen.

Freue mich auf den Schällenbaum und seine Truppe, die angeblich Herz zeigen und bis zum Schluss kämpfen wird.

Marco wirkt sehr gelassen und zurückhaltend. Keine grossen Ansagen. Das ist gut so.


Wieso lässt man eigentlich diesen Mischi jedes mal in der ersten Reihe sitzen und als erster die Fragen stellen? Wieso lässt man zu, dass er nach seiner Frage zahlreiche Anschlussfragen stellen und das Wort an sich reissen kann? Dem müsste man mal die Spielregeln erklären.

Hab mir grade die PK angeschaut und mich sehr über die Ton/Bildaussetzer geärgert. Schade wurde die PK auf gcz.ch oder Youtube nicht live ausgestrahlt.

Dennoch sollte man dem mal ordentlich die Leviten lesen, verbreitete er im Herbst gerüchte aus fragwürdiger Quelle über Bernds Entlassung oder die dummen Sprüche von Hasen abschiessen usw. Ich vermute der ist in der schweizer Sportpresse der Elefnat im Raum und einige seiner Kollegen würde es freuen wenn mal jemand durchgreifft. Hätte er ein Hausverbot bei GC wäre das etwa 50% seines Arbeitspensums das wegfallen würde.
